\nPresident of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar visited G\u00dcNSEL and received information about the mass production preparations of the TRNC\u2019s domestic car. President Tatar, who came to the G\u00dcNSEL Production Facilities located on the Near East University campus, welcomed by the Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees and G\u00dcNSEL Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel. A detailed presentation was given to President Tatar, who carried out a test drive with G\u00dcNSEL\u2019s first model B9 in the test drive area, then the studies carried out at G\u00dcNSEL, preparations for mass production, future projections and the contributions that G\u00dcNSEL will make to the country\u2019s economy were explained in detail.<\/p>\n

After the test drive and informative meeting, President Ersin Tatar and the Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees and G\u00dcNSEL Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel made statements.<\/p>\n

\nPresident Ersin Tatar: \u201cG\u00dcNSEL is a great project that gives hope to our country and strengthens our confidence in the future.\u201d<\/strong>
\nThe President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, visited the G\u00dcNSEL production facilities on the Near East University campus, took a test drive and received information about the mass production activities, and said, \u201cG\u00dcNSEL is a great project that gives hope to our country and will strengthen our confidence in the future. The Founding Rector of Near East University, who believes in this great project, invests and gives us hope. I would like to express my gratitude to the G\u00fcnsel Family, especially to Dr. Suat G\u00fcnsel and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel, and to the engineers and designers who have contributed to the electric car G\u00dcNSEL\u201d<\/p>\n

Describing \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel\u2019s presentation as \u201cimpressive\u201d, President Tatar said, \u201cAs I listened to the presentation, my belief in the future of our country increased exponentially. Our country, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; exporting technology, automobiles and engineering\u2026It is impossible not to be affected by this struggle and belief to turn our youth into a country that provides qualified work force and closes our foreign trade deficit and has foreign trade surplus\u201d.<\/p>\n

Reminding that he attended the Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya last week at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan, President Tatar also made statements regarding his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Konya. Stating that the TRNC is struggling with unfair embargoes and political restrictions, President Tatar said that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev conveyed that Azerbaijan, like Turkey, has always stood by the TRNC and will always stand by in the future.<\/p>\n

After his test drive with the G\u00dcNSEL B9, President Tatar addressed G\u00dcNSEL engineers and said, \u201cI am proud of you all for showing what our country can achieve.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nProf. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel: \u201cG\u00dcNSEL will create a great leap forward in the economy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus not only with its own activities, but also with the automotive supply industry, engineering and technology activities it will create around it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stating that G\u00dcNSEL, the national car of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, will start mass production within the next 18 months, the Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees and G\u00dcNSEL Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel said, \u201cWe have hosted our President Ersin Tatar, shortly before the mass production of our G\u00dcNSEL, which will create a big leap in the economy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus not only with its own activities, but also with the automotive supply industry, engineering and technology activities it will create around it, and shared information about our studies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. G\u00fcnsel after making a comprehensive presentation on G\u00dcNSEL\u2019s development process, mass production efforts and the economic leap it will create to President Ersin Tatar and members of the press, also \u201cI would like to thank our President for his visit, which made us feel that our state is with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
