\nThe Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia, Ali Murat Ba\u015f\u00e7eri, visited G\u00dcNSEL with the Embassy delegation consisting of undersecretaries and advisors, and received information about the mass production activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia Ali Murat Ba\u015f\u00e7eri, accompanied by the Embassy delegation consisting of undersecretaries and advisors, visited the headquarters of the TRNC’s domestic and national car G\u00dcNSEL on the Near East University campus and received information about the mass production activities. The Embassy delegation, welcomed by Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees and G\u00dcNSEL Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel, also performed a test drive with G\u00dcNSEL’s first model B9 before the information meeting.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel gave detailed information to the Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Ba\u015f\u00e7eri and the Embassy delegation about the works carried out at G\u00dcNSEL, mass production preparations, future projections and the contributions G\u00dcNSEL will make to the country’s economy.<\/p>\n

After the information meeting, Ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Ba\u015f\u00e7eri and Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees and G\u00dcNSEL Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel made statements.<\/p>\n

\nAmbassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia Ali Murat Ba\u015fceri: \u201cRaising people and young people who design their future in this country is extremely important for the future of the TRNC. Realizing this can only be possible with projects like G\u00dcNSEL and such facilities.\u201d<\/strong>
\nEmphasizing that Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are two parts of an inseparable whole, Ambassador Ali Murat Ba\u015fceri said, \u201cAs we have said at every opportunity, we are one and the whole. You are also taking steps in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, in an area where there is a technology development race all over the world. On behalf of our nation, I would like to thank you for investing in such an area and putting effort into competing with the G\u00dcNSEL brand in this race.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Raising people and young people who design their future in this country is extremely important for the future of the TRNC,” said Ambassador Ba\u015f\u00e7eri, adding, “To realize this can only be possible with projects like G\u00dcNSEL and such facilities.”<\/p>\n

Emphasizing the importance of establishing an ecosystem in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus where the university and the industry support each other, Ba\u015f\u00e7eri said, \u201cThe steps to be taken in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to strengthen the domestic industry and the real sector, to develop education-industry cooperation in vocational high schools and universities are the establishment of a sustainable ecosystem today and this is of vital importance. It is also very important that you offer job-guaranteed education opportunities to the youth of the country with the project you have implemented at G\u00dcNSEL Academy. These are the issues that we constantly talk about with our friends, we regard all these as the steps to be taken for the future of the TRNC.<\/p>\n

Referring to the steps that need to be taken for G\u00dcNSEL to reach its goals, Ambassador Ali Murat Ba\u015f\u00e7eri said, \u201cI hope that the government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will also do its part in developing the logistics and energy infrastructures that are especially needed. In particular, important steps need to be taken to develop the port infrastructure and to secure energy supply by increasing the energy production capacity. Public institutions need to keep up with the dynamism of the private sector.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nProf. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel: \u201cWe see TOGG and G\u00dcNSEL as two brothers who support and grow each other as brands of the Turkish world.\u201d<\/strong>
\nEmphasizing that G\u00dcNSEL is a project that develops with the efforts of Turkish Cypriots to exist and to be worthy of Turkey, Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel said, \u201cOur Turkey continues to develop with the steps it has taken and to move forward in many areas. Many steps we have taken as the Near East Family, especially G\u00dcNSEL, are the result of our efforts to keep up with the advances Turkey has made and to be worthy of our homeland.<\/p>\n

Stating that they always felt the industrial power of Turkey and especially the support of the automotive supplier industry in the realization of G\u00dcNSEL, Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel also commented on Turkey’s national car, TOGG. Prof. Dr. G\u00fcnsel said, \u201cWe see TOGG and G\u00dcNSEL as two brothers who support and grow each other as the brands of the Turkish world. As TOGG and G\u00dcNSEL, we will create the synergy created by Mercedes and BMW on behalf of their countries in the automotive industry for the Turkish world.\u201d
