\nTurkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kac\u0131r came to the TRNC to see G\u00dcNSEL, the local and national car of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and inspected the production facility. Previously, Dr. Mehmet Fatih Kac\u0131r, who also attended the opening of Dr. Suat G\u00fcnsel Mosque, came to G\u00dcNSEL with his Togg brand official vehicle.<\/p>\n

At G\u00dcNSEL, Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kac\u0131r, who was welcomed by Near East University Founding Rector Dr. Suat \u0130rfan G\u00fcnsel, Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees and G\u00dcNSEL Chairman of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel and G\u00dcNSEL Board members, was accompanied by TRNC Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcao\u011flu. After the test drive with G\u00dcNSEL’s first model, B9, Kac\u0131r inspected G\u00dcNSEL Production Facilities on the Near East University campus and received detailed information about G\u00dcNSEL’s development process, design and engineering features and mass production plans.<\/p>\n

Mehmet Fatih Kac\u0131r: \u201cAs the Republic of Turkey, we are proud of every success made by the Turkish Cypriots in every field and in every subject. I believe that we will experience the same pride with the mass production of G\u00dcNSEL.\u201d<\/strong>
\nMaking a statement after his test drive with G\u00dcNSEL B9, Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kac\u0131r emphasized that he liked G\u00dcNSEL’s unique design and said, “I used a vehicle that I felt was ready for sale even though it was a prototype.”<\/p>\n

Mehmet Fatih Kac\u0131r said, \u201cAs the Republic of Turkey, we are proud of every success made by the Turkish Cypriots in every field and in every subject. I believe that we will experience the same pride with the mass production of G\u00dcNSEL.” Stating that he liked the design of G\u00dcNSEL very much, Minister Kac\u0131r said, \u201cIt was developed especially considering the needs of families and has a design that is preferred in the city. I also find that cost-effectiveness and easy accessibility are among the main focuses of design. The unique design increases the value of G\u00dcNSEL even more,” he said.<\/p>\n

Emphasizing Turkey’s experience in automotive, Kac\u0131r noted that this experience was crowned with Togg and wished that G\u00dcNSEL, which was brought to these days with a development and design-oriented approach, would integrate with Turkey’s experience and knowledge.<\/p>\n

Pointing out the stages of the automotive development process, Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kac\u0131r said, \u201cAlthough it was a prototype, I used a vehicle that I felt was ready for sale. This was a truly gratifying experience.\u201d <\/p>\n

Stating that he found G\u00dcNSEL’s color choices very successful, Mehmet Fatih Kac\u0131r congratulated those who contributed to the project by saying, “Each of the color choices of the red of our flag, the blue of our homeland, the green of Cyprus, the sky blue and the stone gray have very special meanings.”<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel, \u201cFrom Dr. Suat G\u00fcnsel Mosque to G\u00dcNSEL, every work born on the Near East University campus is a result of our effort to keep up with the progress our motherland, Turkey, has made and to be worthy of our motherland. I have absolute faith that this effort will carry our country and state into the future and strengthen our homeland, as well” <\/p>\n

Reminding that Turkey has a great knowledge and experience in the automotive field, Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel said, “I wholeheartedly believe that the synergy that G\u00dcNSEL will create together with Togg has the potential to leave its mark on the world automotive industry.”<\/p>\n
