<\/div>\nPresident Ersin Tatar made a test drive of the first model of G\u00dcNSEL, TRNC’s first domestic car, which was developed by Turkish engineers and designers with 10 years of work and 1.2 million hours of labor in accordance with the project carried out within the body of Near East University.<\/p>\n
President Ersin Tatar got behind the wheel of 100 percent electric G\u00dcNSEL and tested the vehicle in the driving area of G\u00dcNSEL Production Facilities on the Near East University campus. During the test drive, President Ersin Tatar was accompanied by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel.
\nMaking a statement after the test drive, President Ersin Tatar congratulated the G\u00fcnsel Family who achieved this great success.<\/p>\n
President Ersin Tatar: “I am happy and delighted on behalf of my country…”<\/strong> Emphasizing that G\u00dcNSEL being a 100% electric car is an important development for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, President Tatar said, \u201cThe world is changing now. It is necessary to protect the air, emission and environment. When G\u00dcNSEL is launched on the market, it will be among the firsts in the world with these features. \nIn his speech, President Ersin Tatar said that the first domestic car of our country, G\u00dcNSEL, will make a great contribution to the promotion, economy, export, employment and development of the country. President Ersin Tatar said, “I am happy and delighted on behalf of my country” after the test drive with G\u00dcNSEL B9. Stating that they will be happy to see G\u00dcNSEL on the roads after the necessary test processes have been completed, Tatar thanked those who contributed to the project and the G\u00fcnsel Family.<\/p>\n
\nWelcoming President Ersin Tatar at G\u00dcNSEL Production Facilities, Near East University Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel accompanied President Tatar during the test drive. After the test drive, Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel thanked President Ersin Tatar for his visit to G\u00dcNSEL facilities. Prof. Dr. \u0130rfan Suat G\u00fcnsel said that they made the 100% electric car G\u00dcNSEL from design to R&D, technology to engineering with one body, one heart, with great faith, working during day and night.<\/p>\n
\nG\u00dcNSEL B9, which can travel 350 kilometers on a single charge, was produced by combining 10 thousand 936 parts in total. The engine of the vehicle has a power of 140 kW. The speed limit of G\u00fcnsel B9, which can reach 100 km \/ h in 8 seconds, was electronically limited to 170 km \/ h. G\u00dcNSEL’s battery can be charged in just 20 minutes with high-speed charging.G\u00dcNSEL’s first model B9 was produced in Yellow, Red, and Blue colors. Yellow symbolizes the soil of Cyprus and blue symbolizes the homeland Mediterranean. Red was inspired by the red star and crescent on the flag of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
